Long Slot Rocker Arm (Stamped Steel) - Heat treated
for strength and reliability, long slots provide rocker to stud clearance
when using higher lift camshafts. Small Block Chevy is available with
1.5 and 1.6 ratios and Big Block Chevy is available with the extra
long slot. (Similar to G.M. # 3959182 for max .600 valve lift)
Die Cast Aluminum roller Rocker Arm - Dyno proven
to add up to 25 more H.P., vacuum die cast bodies feature fully rollerized
needle bearing fulcrum that reduces friction and lowers engine oil temperature,
heat treated steel roller tip and push rod cup. Kits come complete with
heat treated Posi-locks. Extremely strong and lightweight, Pioneer Performance

8480016 & 818017 - Long Slot Rocker Arms for Small Block Chevrolet - Accepts
7/16" Dia. Rocker Stud/Heat Treated Stamped Steel Construction/Available
in 1.5 or 1.6 Ratio
With most claimer rules prohibiting the use of roller rocker
arms, racers are constantly looking for a better O.E. style rocker that
will handle the higher valve lifts and r.p.m.'s. For the Small Block
Chevy the weak link seems to be the 3/8" dia. rocker stud that will not
hold up. Because stud girdles are sometimes disallowed some races are
installing "beefier" 7/16" rocker studs and machining the stock rocker
and ball to accept the 7/16" stud. This is a time consuming task and
is not always performed to precision specifications which can cause rocker
arm galling and possibly greater damage to the engine. These new stamped
steel rocker arm kits feature rockers and balls that are precisely engineered
at the factory to accept a 7/16" dia. rocker stud without any machining.
The rocker arms are special heat treated for endurance and have long
slots for increased net valve lift. Hardened grooved rocker balls and
self-locking nuts are included. NOTE: Due to the
intended use and material limitations, these parts are not warrantied
after installation. Recommended
maximum spring pressure is 350 lbs. Always insure adequate oil pressure
to the top end for extended rocker and spring life.

400-455 engines
with the Ram Air option. Featuring a 1.6 ratio for increased valve fit.
