Main studs prevent main cap walk and help support the crankshaft assembly while reducing stress on the block threads during assembly. Pioneer Performance Main Stud Kits are 100% U.S. made, heat treated to 180,000 PSI tensile strength and feature rolled threads and undercut shanks for distributing torque stretch which increases the clamping load. Hi-tensile hex nuts and extra thick chamfered washers are included in each kit
