All engines in stock are built with virgin cores. No spun rod bearings
No welded crankshafts or cylinder heads. If we would not build it and put
it in our own car were not going to build it and sell it to you!!
Warranties
A 12 Month or 12,000 mile warranty applies to all parts. The
original purchaser must make claims for warranty inspection. Contact Topline for a Repair or Return Authorization Number Before proceeding
with any warranty work. have the following information ready when calling:
Date of original purchase, Invoice number, Topline part number, a description
of the nature of the problem, mile at installation, mileage at failure,
and the engine warranty number for long block and short block purchases.
this information must also accompany any return. If a repair is minor only
topline can authorize that the installer can make a repair. Invoice copies
for parts and labor must accompany defective parts. This documentation
must be marked with the Return Authorization Number and returned to topline
with the defective part. When making a component claim, all contacting
parts must be returned with the alleged defective component to receive
a credit: i.e. Cam and lifter and rockers with a cylinder head, or rods
and bearings with a crankshaft, etc. No credits will be issued until the
alleged defect is received and inspected by Topline.
Labor Claims cannot exceed $250.00 on a complete engine, $100.00 on a
short block.
Cylinder head warranties are limited to replace of head and head set
within 90 days of purchase date. No labor claims will be paid on water
pumps. Warranties are limited to replacement of the water pump. Hydraulic
tensioners are typically source from oem factories and due to their nature,
labor claims on these hydraulic tensioners are limited to replacement only.
All other labor claims will be paid at the flat rate of $30.00 per hour
from the Mitchell Flat Rate Manual to a maximum of 10 hours. Credit is
issued in the form of a Merchandise credit only.
Engine warranties will only be honored if the Topline Installation
Checklist is properly filled out signed by the installer,
and returned to Topline within two weeks after the date of installation.
any repair work done without a repair authorization number will void any
warranty coverage.
Topline will not be responsible for any damages due to freight, fire,
accident, obvious abuse, neglect, or situations where installed used parts
cause damage to new parts. The tabs must be in place on engines, and not
altered or melted. Crankshafts must be inspected for specifications before
installation or warranty is void. Parts and engines used for industrial
purposes will not be warranted. Bearings, pistons, and rings must be inspected
for proper size before installation or warranty is void. No warranty will
be honored on heads where the defect is due to warpage from over heating
or the installation of used cams, lifters, or rockers. No warranty will
be honored when the cause is found to be oil contamination. It is the responsibility
of the of the installing mechanic to make sure that parts are correct before
installation.
Topline does not assume any responsibility for towing charges, fluids,
freon, fuel, filters, lay-up time, lodging, car/truck rental or other substitute
transportation, telephone charges, travel, damage to personal property,
commercial loss, normal diagnostic time, loss of revenue or other matters
not specifically included.
Check and replace when needed, the radiator, hoses and belts, fan switch,
water & oil pumps, cylinder head bolts, thermostat, fuel mixture, timing
and catalytic converter before proceeding with repairs. If you replace
your head, pistons, or other parts without determining the actual reason
for
failure, the new parts will be damaged too!
