Sportsman Block Description Designed for 1100 HP. Capable of 4.500" Bore Diameter, minimum Bore is 4.360. Standard Heavy Duty Valley Tray. Water passes between cylinder bores (same as original Ford 460 Block). .800" Deck Thickness. 10 Bolt Head Pattern, but machined to accept addt'l four (4) EXH side head bolts. Caps #2, #3, and #4 splayed with 1/2" bolts. Nodular Cast Iron, 4-bolt Main Caps #1 thru #5. Note: Max stroke 4.750" (may need clearancing on piston skirt depending on design). Max cu. in 605cc

Eliminator Performance Products is proud to present its latest product for the big block Ford (BBF) 460 cid engine. The BBF Eliminator block is designed with the latest technological advances in engine performance and manufacturing. Currently, the deck height is the same as the production block, which is 10.320”. The Eliminator block is cast from high quality cast iron, utilizing all new production casting and machining tools. It is offered in five versions to best fit the customer’s requirements. The four versions are the Premier, Ultra, HP Billet, HP Sportsman.

Each version of the Eliminator 385-10.3 Series Block is manufactured with the following:

* Material recipe chosen includes a higher content of carbon and silicon similar to that found in cast nodular iron
* Thick main webbing for added strength 6.250" cylinder length
* Thick pan rail increases the overall block rigidity
* Thick web for roller cam bearing
* Precision machined by Roush Machining Services

The Eliminator HP Sportsman is the same block casting and machining as the HP Billet, except for the main bearing caps - the HP Sportsman Block is configured with all cast iron caps.:

The water jacket design allows coolant to pass between the bores, as does the production 385 series engine
All cast iron main caps
Caps #1, #2, #3 and #4 have a 4-bolt configuration (cap #5 is 2-bolt)
Splayed caps #2, #3, and #4 (straight 4-bolt configuration on caps #1)
Pressed-in freeze plugs
